It is with heaviness of heart that the family of Liza Burghardt announces that her years-long battle with cancer came to an end on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019. Born in 1965, Liza was just 53 years of age. Liza will be remembered for her independent spirit by her husband Aaron, her father Leon, her sister Arpi, her father-in-law Veryl, her mother-in-law Patricia, a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her ever-evolving collection of 100+ pairs of shoes. She was proceeded in death by her mother Alice.

A funeral service in memory of Liza will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 2:00 pm at the St. James Armenian Church, 834 Pepper Ave, Richmond, VA with Very Reverend Father Oshagan Gulgulian. Burial will follow in a plot near her mother at Westhampton Memorial Park.
